A revised planning application has been submitted to Reading Borough Council for planning permission for Green Park Village and Reading Green Park Railway Station.

Planning consent for the previous Green Park Village scheme was granted in 2009 for 737 residential units and approximately 16,000sqm of commercial space.

St Edward submitted an application for a revised proposal in August 2010 that built on the previous consented scheme and which should gain formal consent in summer 2011.

The revised scheme delivers a more appropriate and viable development whilst retaining the same unit numbers and other key elements of the previous scheme including the commercial space and school.

In particular the new planning proposal provides a much greater proportion of family housing, with significantly more detached and semi-detached units compared to the 2009 consented development.
